Research interest:

MR Damper for Drilling Riser System: Downtime in drilling activity due to unfavorable weather costs oil companies loses of millions of dollars. In an effort to minimize the downtime, smart damping (MR Damper) is introduced in the drilling riser so that the riser can continue to operate beyond its normal operating envelope. The aim of the research is to develop numerical model and perform laboratory experiment for the MR damper in drilling riser system.
